Why Fantana

Why Fantana

Four reasons, and no others.

1. We start where luggage actually fails

Wheels. It's the first thing we check on any case, the first thing customers ask about, and the first thing that goes on a cheap one. So it's where our attention goes first — the wheel system, the mount it sits on, the handle above it, the zip that holds it shut. The mechanical experience of a bag is the product.

2. We only take the current designs

Luggage moves more slowly than fashion, but it does move — and a lot of what fills the high street is a generation behind. We take the newest designs and leave the older ones where they are. What arrives is what the category looks like now.

3. Four colours, not forty

Most luggage walls show you every colour at once. Ours come in a set that works together, so a washbag, a backpack and a three-piece case look like one decision rather than three. It's a smaller choice, made more carefully.

4. The price is the point

We sell direct. We don't run airport stores and we don't pay for celebrity campaigns. That's the whole explanation for why a case that feels like the ones at three hundred pounds doesn't cost three hundred pounds.

And when it goes wrong

Three years on the parts that move, a prepaid label so a repair costs you nothing to send, a repair centre that actually holds the spare parts, and thirty days to change your mind. We'd rather fix a case than replace it, and rather replace it than argue.
