FAQs

Delivery

How much is delivery?
Free anywhere in the UK on every order, with no minimum. Need it sooner? Express delivery is £6.99 and arrives in 1–2 business days.

Do you ship outside the UK?
Not yet. We deliver within the UK only for now. If you're abroad and want a case, email hello@fantana.uk and we'll tell you when that changes.

Can I track my order?
Yes — a tracking number is emailed as soon as your order is on its way.

Returns

How long do I have?
30 days from delivery, unused and with its tags and packaging.

Who pays return postage?
You do if you've changed your mind. We do if the case arrived faulty or wrong, and in that case your refund includes the original delivery.

How long does a refund take?
Within 14 days of the return reaching us, back to the card you paid with.

Warranty

What's covered?
Three years on the parts that move: wheels, the telescopic handle mechanism, locks, zips, side handles and stitching.

What isn't?
Cosmetic wear from normal travel — scuffs, scratches, faded fabric — and damage from misuse.

How do I claim?
Email hello@fantana.uk with your order number, what happened, and a photo. We send you a prepaid postage label, so it costs you nothing to send it in. Repairs run through our central repair centre and usually take two to three weeks. If we can't repair it, we replace it.

My airline damaged my case.
Claim with the airline first — that's their responsibility and they do pay out. If you get stuck, write to us anyway and we'll help you work out the next step.

Choosing a case

Which Fantana cases fit easyJet, British Airways and Jet2's 56 x 45 x 25cm cabin bag?
All of our cabin cases: the Phoenix 55cm, Dallas 55.5cm, Iceland II 55cm, Matrix 56cm, Mars 55.5cm, Fantana Prints 55cm, Ridge cabin size, Arizona 55cm and Starlet Cabin, plus the Voyager Spinner Small, Rolling Bag Small and Backpack Trolley. British Airways and Jet2 include that bag in every fare. On easyJet it's the large cabin bag, which you book separately or get with easyJet Plus. Every airline's limits are here.

Which cases fit Ryanair's 55 x 40 x 20cm Priority bag?
Four of them: the Starlet Cabin (55 x 40 x 20cm, exactly the limit), the Fantana Prints 55cm (55 x 37 x 20cm), the Voyager Spinner Small (47 x 37 x 20cm) and the Voyager Backpack Trolley (48 x 34 x 19.5cm). That bag comes with Ryanair's paid Priority option. Every Ryanair fare also includes a free 40 x 30 x 20cm under-seat bag, which the Voyager Backpack fits.

Which bag fits under the seat?
The Voyager Backpack, at 40 x 29 x 13cm, fits the free under-seat bag on Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2, Wizz Air and British Airways. The Voyager Laptop Backpack, at 44 x 31 x 11cm, fits easyJet's larger 45 x 36 x 20cm under-seat bag.

What size suitcase do I need?
A cabin case (around 55cm) for three or four days, a medium (65–69cm) for a week or two, and a large (75–78cm) for two weeks and up, or two people sharing. If you're between two, pack for your most common trip, not your longest. The size guide goes through each one.

Polycarbonate, polypropylene or aluminium: which should I choose?
Polycarbonate (Phoenix) flexes under impact and springs back. Polypropylene (Ridge, Dallas, Matrix, Mars and Iceland II) is tough and resists cracking; Ridge is the toughest shell we sell. Aluminium (Arizona) is the most rigid of the three: it doesn't flex, so a knock leaves a dent, and it's the heaviest. We don't sell ABS, the cheaper shell that cracks.

Which cases expand?
Phoenix, Ridge, Matrix, Mars and Iceland II, and the medium and large Dallas and Fantana Prints. The size we list is the unexpanded one, because that's the size that has to pass the airline's sizer, so open the expander on the way home rather than on the way out. Arizona, Starlet and the Voyager cases don't expand.

The products

What are your cases made of?
Hard cases are polycarbonate, polypropylene or aluminium. Soft luggage is nylon, a soft canvas on the Starlet, or printed polyester on Fantana Prints. We don't sell ABS — it's the cheaper shell that cracks rather than flexes, and it's one of the most common reasons a case fails early.

Are your cases waterproof?
No. Our soft luggage is water-resistant, which means a shower won't get through it. Nothing we sell is waterproof, and we'd rather say so.

Do the sizes include the wheels?
Yes — every measurement on the site includes wheels and handle, the way an airline measures. More on that here.

Do your cases have locks?
Phoenix, Arizona, Dallas, Matrix, Mars, Iceland II, Fantana Prints and the Starlet Cabin have a TSA combination lock, which airport security can open without cutting it off. Ridge, the medium and large Starlet and the Voyager spinner cases have a combination lock that isn't TSA. The Voyager rolling bags don't have a lock. What TSA means.

Can I buy a replacement wheel?
We don't sell parts separately. If something that moves has failed within three years, it's a warranty repair — send it in and we'll fix it.
