About
Fantana designs travel luggage in London.
We are a small product team, not a fashion house. Our work is deciding what the range is — the interiors, the colours, the designs we take forward — and putting our hands on every product before it joins it. Rolled, lifted, packed, opened. We extend the handle and feel for the wobble, because that is what you will do in the shop. If a handle rattles, it doesn't launch.
Start with the wheels. The first thing we check on any case is its wheels — it's the first thing you'd check too, and it's the first thing that fails on cheap luggage. The mechanical experience of a bag — how it rolls, extends, zips and locks — is what we build everything around.
Only the current designs. Luggage moves more slowly than fashion, but it does move, and a lot of what fills the high street is a generation behind. We take the newest designs and leave the older ones where they are — so what arrives is what the category looks like now, not what it looked like three years ago.
Four colours, not forty. Look at most luggage walls and you'll find every colour at once. Ours come in a set that works together, so a washbag, a backpack and a three-piece case arrive looking like one decision rather than three.
About our prices. They look wrong next to bags that feel the same. They're not. We sell direct, we don't run airport stores, and we don't pay for celebrity campaigns. The bag is where the money went.
And when something goes wrong, we're built for that too: three years on the parts that move, thirty days to change your mind, and a repair service that fixes rather than replaces where it can.
Made to move with you.
